Python Environment Setup | Install python in windows & Macbook

Let's kickstart with installing and setting up the python environment in your windows machine.

Python 3.6 Setup:

In the last article, we have gone through the history and overview of Python programming. Let’s kickstart with installing and setting up the python environment in your windows machine.

 

  • The setup window will appear, you have to select (Add python 3.6 to PATH),(install launchers for all users) and select install now

  • Once the installation is done, go to Start Menu > Search > write cmd in search bar> command prompt and click to open it

  • After opening cmd write python to make sure that python is properly installed

  • Now you will write your first “Hello World” Code, go to a new line and write Print (“Hello World”)

Setup Python in MacBook

  1. First download python Mac from here (https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.8/python-3.6.8-macosx10.9.pkg)
  2. After the downloading has completed there will be a file python-3.6.8-macosx10.6.pkg, left double click on it, to start installing
  3. Then you have to click continue until you reach License

 

  1. When you reach license he will ask you whether you agree on his license or not, you should click agree

 

  1. When you reach you installation type you should select install, then he will be asking for the laptop password

  1. After that the pkg installation was successfully finished you should select close
  2. To write your first “Hello World” Code, you will go to the spotlight search and write IDLE and choose idle that will be shown from the Search Menu
  3. Python shell will be opened with you, After it’s opening you will have to press Enter to take a space for writing your first code
  4. Now in python shell, you will write your first code Print (“Hello World”) and press enter
Now you are done installing python to start your journey in learning python, and becoming a programmer.
